The shoe was on the other foot last week for the Fire EMT admin staff who took part in their own evacuation exercise.
Steve had a great time setting up a scene in which a staff member noticed a fire at a neighbouring unit but then had the misfortune of tripping on the stairs and spraining her ankle on the way to alerting her co-workers.
Some quick decisions were made regarding what to do with the casualty and how they were going to get home as the building was not fit for re-entry but all their belongings were inside!
It just proves that even when you’re well informed, an emergency situation can still challenge your responses. Well done team!
