Garry Dawson
Managing Director
Garry served with the Military for 15 years and as a Station Officer in the Australian Aviation Rescue & Fire Fighting Service for a further 11 years. Through that time has been involved in many emergency situations and incidents as an active participant and a leader. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Fire EMT which has been providing emergency planning and instruction to commercial organisations around Australia since 2008. Garry is a Graduate (GiFireE) in the Institution of Fire Engineers.

Stephen Rook
Emergency Planning Co-ordinator and Senior Instructor
Steve is currently an operational firefighter with the QLD Rural Fire Service, having served over 25 years. He holds the rank of 3rd Officer and is also the Brigade Treasurer and Training Officer. He previously served with the Australian Army where he attained the rank of Corporal and is a member of the Australasian Institute of Emergency Services (MAIES). Steve is a qualified Fire Safety Advisor; holds a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment; Statement of Achievement QLD Disaster Management Arrangements; Statement of Attainment in Handling Dangerous Goods & Hazardous Substances and holds several firefighting qualifications.

Kerri
Client Coordinator
Recently completed her Cert 4 in Training and Assessments
Kerri brings to the Fire EMT Team over 20 years customer service experience, previously coming from a CSR role with Service NSW. She has a passion for Fire Safety and has volunteered as a Rural Firefighter in both QLD and NSW. In her spare time Kerri enjoys spending time with family and enjoys the outdoors. As a client co-ordinator Kerri is happy to assist you with your onsite and online training needs and enquiries. Kerri is also a qualified Fire Safety Advisor

Leiarnah
Accounts & HR Manager
Leiarnah Margison is a client-focused professional with a strong passion for relationship management and business operations. With over a decade of experience in corporate and government sectors, she has held a variety of roles including Helpdesk Support, Software Testing, and ultimately established herself as a Pricing Analyst. In 2023, Leiarnah joined a construction and fire maintenance company, where she discovered a deep interest in fire safety. This passion led her to the role of Client Coordinator within Fire EMT where she has completed her Fire Safety Advisor qualified and has since progressed to the position of Accounts and HR Manager. Outside of her professional life, Leiarnah enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two children, and their cherished pets.

Ray Williams
Instructor
Ray was in the SES for 3 1/2 years as a Deputy Group Leader and Training Officer, prior to being an Auxiliary Fire Captain of almost 32 years. Within his role with the Fire Service, Ray was an Auxiliary Fire Trainer, instructing Auxiliary Training Programs including Electrical Hazards, Operate Pumps & Auxiliary Recruitment. He has been in the Emergency Services for over 35 years. Since retiring from the Fire Service, he was a Mines Rescue Supervisor for 2 years, also training his crew and others. He has a strong passion as a Trainer and enjoys working with people from different backgrounds
Ray was also heavily involved with the Fire Fighting Competitions with Regional, State and National. Ray was a competitor, Judge and Instructor in the Competitions. He was also teaching local Rural Brigades for the Competitions. He was in one of the local Rural Brigades as a member for 12 months whilst also being an Auxiliary Fire Captain
Ray was also the founder and Coordinator for the local Emergency Services Cadets, through the PCYC. Ray has been a CERT IV Workplace Trainer & Assessor since 1996 & still holds the current qualification. Ray won Officer of the Year, for the Fire Service, back in 2022 for the Moreton Bay Region. He has many awards including, Australia Day Award.
Ray enjoys being with his beautiful wife and fur babies as well as fishing and cooking in his spare time

Hayley Archer
Client Co-ordinator
Hayley brings a strong client coordination background, with extensive experience across customer service–focused roles. After a successful career in the media industry, she chose to transition into the Fire Safety sector to broaden her knowledge and gain hands-on experience within this vital field.
Her interest in Fire Safety was sparked following the devastating NSW bushfires that impacted communities nationwide. Motivated by the importance of prevention and protection, Hayley is passionate about contributing to an industry dedicated to safeguarding people, property, and communities.
