Garry Dawson

Managing Director

Garry served with the Military for 15 years and as a Station Officer in the Australian Aviation Rescue & Fire Fighting Service for a further 11 years. Through that time has been involved in many emergency situations and incidents as an active participant and a leader. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Fire EMT which has been providing emergency planning and instruction to commercial organisations around Australia since 2008. Garry is a Graduate (GiFireE) in the Institution of Fire Engineers.

Stephen Rook

Emergency Planning Co-ordinator and Senior Instructor

Steve is currently an operational firefighter with the QLD Rural Fire Service, having served over 25 years. He holds the rank of 3rd Officer and is also the Brigade Treasurer and Training Officer. He previously served with the Australian Army where he attained the rank of Corporal and is a member of the Australasian Institute of Emergency Services (MAIES). Steve is a qualified Fire Safety Advisor; holds a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment; Statement of Achievement QLD Disaster Management Arrangements; Statement of Attainment in Handling Dangerous Goods & Hazardous Substances and holds several firefighting qualifications.

Adrian Brinkworth

Instructor

Originally from the UK, Adrian moved to Australia 12 years ago after spending 17 years in the Auxiliary Fire and Rescue Service with two years as a Leading Fire Fighter.

He has been a Lead Instructor in delivering criteria such as safe work practices, maintaining emergency response equipment and has been involved in several training improvement plans.

Edward Chivers

Instructor

After 15yrs in the Royal Air Force Police where some of his duties were investigations, close protection, Weapons systems control and general duties, Edward relocated to Australia in 2000. For 6yrs Edward managed 37 driving instructors for the largest driving school in Qld. Since then his focus has been on emergency management training. A former crew leader with the Rural Fire Service Qld, Edward has a Cert 2 in public safety, Cert 4 in training and assessment and is a Fire Safety Advisor. Edward is passionate about keeping vulnerable people safe.

Accounts and HR Manager

With 40+ years’ experience gained in Administration, Customer Service, Accounts and Client Account Management, through employment in Banking, Trades, Public Service, Small Business ownership and Fire Maintenance.

Out of work loves spending time with family, especially 3 young grandchildren who keep me on my toes! She also enjoys being out on the water with partner on our jetski, reading biographies and autobiographies relating to History, incl Military History, and looking forward to becoming a grey nomad in the future as there is so much of this great land to explore.  Life is short – no time for regrets!

Kerri

Client Coordinator

Recently completed her Cert 4 in Training and Assessments

Kerri brings to the Fire EMT Team over 20 years customer service experience, previously coming from a CSR role with Service NSW. She has a passion for Fire Safety and has volunteered as a Rural Firefighter in both QLD and NSW. In her spare time Kerri enjoys spending time with family and enjoys the outdoors. As a client co-ordinator Kerri is happy to assist you with your onsite and online training needs and enquiries.

Leiarnah

Client Coordinator

Leiarnah is a client-focused worker who has a passion for relationship management and organization. Leiarnah has spent the first ten years of her career employed in corporate/government settings progressing from Helpdesk Support through to Software Testing and eventuating into her long-term position as a Pricing Analyst. A change in life circumstances led her to work with CV Services where her passion for Fire Safety ignited, landing her the Client Coordinator position within FireEMT. Outside of work, Leiarnah enjoys spending time her husband, two children and furbabies.

Julie

Administration Support

Julie has over 20 years’ Administration experience with a demonstrated ability to be Proficient, dedicated, and client-focused.  Julie has worked for numerous large organisations including Department of Transport and Main Roads as well as Unitywater.  She is a supportive team member with a track record of driving performance and promoting process improvements to streamline the office efficiency.
